Re-up Of The "Gerontocracy" In Congress Debate
Our friend Jim Lokay from Fox5 DC re-upped a conversation we had on-air last year about the increasingly elderly folks that are among our congress critters. With recent events, he thought it was worth revisiting, so I put it here.
How do you feel about the “gerontocracy” in government? Folks will lump this in with term limits, but I’ve changed on that over the years. We don’t need term limits, we need a mandatory retirement age of some kind. You’d never get it, but we should. Something like you have to be - oh, pick a number, under 72 or 75" - on the day you swore into the office you were seeking.
