Last Week's Labor On This Here Labor Day
Or, at least, last week's media appearances all gathered in one handy-dandy place for your review, comments, and sharing enjoyment
Nothing makes me happier, or more nervous, than getting to do radio on the talk radio station that I grew up listening to, 580 WCHS. Last week, that dream happened twice, as I guest hosted 580 Live and The Dave Allen Show along with my friend Dale Cooper.
On this episode, Andrew Donaldson joins as host with Dale Cooper as co-host. They discuss current events in West Virginia and current political stories. Secretary Larry Pack joins the show to talk about the defining role of state treasurer as tax and revenue headlines keep popping up. They also discuss other topics concerning the state GOP. Eric Garcia, congressional reporter for The Independant, comes onto the show to talk about the reputation of the West Virginia congress delegation and how they handle the press.Â
Guest hosts Andrew Donaldson and Dale Cooper take over whil Dave is away. Garion Frankel talks about cell phone bans in schools and Dr. Michael Siegel discusses Boeing's Starliner and the future of space travel.
I’ve enjoyed being a political commentator with The News Forum tv network up in Canada. Always interesting how our friends up north cover things in the lower 48 a bit differently.
Kamala Harris Vows to Include a Republican in her Cabinet if Elected President
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Suspends Campaign & Endorses Donald Trump
Plus, it is always a blast getting to join my friend Joe Catenacci on his morning show out of Myrtle Beach, SC. When he was in Wilmington, NC, Joe gave me my first shot at guest hosting radio and really got me started doing that medium, and I’m very thankful for that.
In this one, we cover everything from why Subway went from fresh to hard pass, Starbucks, school lunches, how to make a congressman laugh while waiting on his segment, and the abominatable lie that there is such a thing as a boneless chicken wings.
My piece on Starbucks that was references from Ordinary Times can be read here:
Hi Andew: Many of the administrators you reference are mandated by the Feds for the $$ that come from them. If you think there is extensive waste and fraud in the public K-12 system I seriously encourage you to investigate.
Part of my career has been planning and designing K-12 facilities. These cost $$, and people would say "Why do we need a bond for this? There's plenty of waste we can wring out to pay for them."
There was lots of investigating, At the end of the day there was no "waste" to make mention of.
